Vintage Cars: 1980 280zx / rough ride, maintenance records, good shape

I just bought a 1980 280zx for my son. I bought the car from the original owner and over all the car is in good shape but it rides a little rough. Is this common for this car and if not what would you suggest? I've never owned or driven a Z before.

Well you would have to provide a lot more information that this for me to answer that.  Has the seller added any modifications, what's the mileage, maintenance records?  It's a sports car, but I don't know what you mean exactly by riding rough.  Gather info and write me back.
