Vintage Cars: european mercedes cross-check parts #, style cars, car none

I have a 1985 Mercedes 280sel European edition car. I would like to know what American body style/# that I can use to find replacement parts to fit my car. None of the searches I use will accept my year and model number as input info.

should be compatible with M110 motor parts,(6cyc) body parts are pretty much like legos, if the bodys look the same the parts should work.  many MB's and many series had interchangeable parts. Your's should be a W126 body style. Cars like the 84-85 380se, 500sel.
I highly recommend getting a service manual from mercedes ( vintage) as these cars so have some european quirks that you will need a manual for
