Vintage Cars: Stock Tire Size 68 Falcon Futura, stock tire size, ford falcon futura

Can you tell me the stock tire size for a '68 Ford Falcon Futura with a 289, 2v carb., with a C4 automatic transmission? I know they were 14".

Answer
The 1966-69 Falcons were all virtually identical from a mechanical standpoint, and I can find nothing that would tell me that there was any difference between the three model years when it comes to tires.  I can tell you that '66 coupes and sedans with a V8 came standard with 6.95X14 tires.  In case you weren't already aware, they made 10,633 Futura club coupes and 10,077 Futura Sports Coupe club coupes for 1968, second only to the 1966 model year for the "Series III" Falcons.  You may also want to check out the following website:
