Vintage Cars: vintage car, narrow slits, car question

Question
QUESTION: As a kid I remember a car with narrow slits for headlight lenses - do you know what it was?

ANSWER: I need more info:

- were the slits vertical or horizontal?

- when were you a kid?  Was this a car from the 30's or 40's, or later, like the 60's?  Can you make a guess as to what year the car was?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: The car was around 1930, with sort of bulbous headlights that had narrow vertical lenses.

Answer
I'll bet what you saw was a car with Woodlite (or sometimes spelled "Woodite") headlights.  They were an aftermarket accessory offered in the late 20's- early 30's for most cars, but were rather expensive, so were most often seen on a few luxury makes.  The short-lived front-wheel-drive Ruxton had them as standard equipment, and a few other companies offered them as factory options.  I always thought they were rather cool looking.
