Vintage Cars: Mercedes Benz 1983 380SL, mercedes benz 1983, valet mode

Question
My 1983 MB 380SL trunk will not open with the key.  It goes in
the lock correctly the key, but when you turn the lock to push open thetrunk, noting happens.

sometimes you just gotta fiddle with them, first spray a little lock graphite or similar in the lock and on the key.
Remember that you must push in and turn. Try going both ways and push in.  If you are using the valet key you may have the trunk lock in the "valet mode"  which if I remember correctly you turn to left, push in .
Now then if this has been working and suddenly does not work  you have either a very worn key or the tumblers in the lock are sticking
