Vintage Cars: trans, auto tranny, speed man

  I have a 280slc with a 110 motor and 4 speed man. I want to make it automatic which trans can i use?

what year, and if you have an original  280 SLC with a manual you have a rare car.  By chance are you in australia, this is where most ended up.
Depending on what you are planning to do with it you may consider its collectors value rather thant change it to automatic.
Anyway if you decide to do it you will need to match the year and engine with a similar auto tranny of the same vintage.  MB's are not easy to swap parts from different models or years , you may also need to change the rear end differential as well. This would need serious research and a project no tfor the faint of heart!.  Another option would be to remove the engine and drive train and substite another
