Vintage Cars: 1968 CHEVY 4-SPEED, cotter pins, levers

Question
HI AND THANKS FOR YOUR TIME. CAN YOU  GET MESOMEPICTURE OF THE CORRECT WAY THE SHIFTER, LEVERS  ALLIGN?  I REMOVED MINE HAVING TROUBLE  W/ THIRD AND 4-TH ARE THE "EARS"   ON TRANS   SUPPOSED TO BE  "UP"  OR DOWN  I NEVER REMOVED REVERSE BUT THE CAR IS HARDTO GET BACK INTO NEUTRAL WITH THE RODS CONNECTED THE ONLY WAY THEY SEEM TO ACCOMMODATE THE OTHE RODS,  3RD AND 4TH ARE BACKWARDS.   I CAN NOT GET IT, I'VE DONE IT BEFORE A YEAR AGO  AND FINNALLY GOT IT THOUGHT I'D GET IT RIGHT BACK THIS TIME,  A PICTURE WOULD HELP.  ALSO BY NOW I HAVE REMOVED THE COTTER PINS AND HAVE TRIED TO  RE ANGLE THE EARS.

Answer
Here is a page with a picture of the transmission with the rods attached.  It is out of the car and one of the rods is running the wrong way, but the levers are what you asked about.  In that picture the tranny is in neutral.
