Vintage Cars: 1966 Mustang, master cyl, avail

Don, Hopefully you can help me. My 1966 mustang brake lights only go on when I push hard on the pedal,I have replaced the switch and also adjusted the arm on the pedal to no avail. Thanks!

My advice would be to adjust the switch again.  is this the type of switch that is on the brake pedal mechanism under the dash, or on the master cyl under the hood?  From what you say, I would guess the former.

if so, then if they DO come on with a hard push, then the problem really should be in adjusting the switch so it is closer to the pedal where it touches.  also check that the pedal mechanism isn't worn to where it rocks causing it not to swing normally.
