QUESTION: I own a 1947 Buick Hose Wagon and trying to research its history.  VIN #14574572  Any information on this vehicle is appreciated.  It is in excellent condition.

Is this what you're talking about?  Frankly, I've never even heard of such a vehicle (I thought all of these were truck-based).  Looks like a good forum to ask your question.

Amazing car!  Let's see, late 40's Buick with a straight 8 in excellent condition- that makes it valuable right there.  Add in the custom body (I assume there's all sorts of reinforcement underneath to make up for the total lack of any "superstructure") and the fire truck collectability, and you've got yourself a winner!  The national Buick club often has a get-together in my neck of the woods, right next door in Batavia, NY.  PLEASE let me know if you ever plan on attending an event here- this is a car I really would like to see in person.
