Vintage Cars: 1970 cutlass s rallye 350, olds cutlass, minor rust

Question
My wife and I just purchased a matching numbers 1970 rallye 350 from the origional owner! This car has been sitting under a shed since parked in 1986. It has very minor rust which is amazing considering this is Louisiana! My question is, was the car worth the $2,300 we paid for it. I understand that less than 2,500 were made.

Answer
Oooooooooh, yeah.  Consider yourself one very lucky individual.  Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Olds Cutlass Rallye 350 was also known as the W45 Package.  NADA, which is always on the high side, lists a 1970 W45 in "average retail" condition at $9500-$10500, which is what your car sounds like.  In other words, a "20-footer."  With a little work, you could easily double that value.  Regardless, no one can deny this simple fact:  you STOLE that puppy!  Personally, I've always loved the Rallye 350, especially the monotone paint scheme with matching bumpers.  Tell me: is it Rallye Yellow?  If it is, I'm one jealous guy, and please enjoy one of the best muscle cars ever made!
