2013 Nissan Xterra Colors

The 2013 Nissan XTerra ruggidized SUV is available in a variety of colors that reflect Nissan's go anywhere, do anything mission. The XTerra is one of the stronger entries in a dying breed of body-on-frame SUVs with true all-terrain capability. Current as of the time of this writing as 2014 models begin to take over at dealerships, the 2013 Nissan XTerra is available in seven different colors. All models see a gray cloth interior, though some, such as Cayenne Red, are available with steel cloth interior as an option.

2WD XTerra Automatic X (Entry Level Trim)

  • The entry-level XTerra sells for an MSRP of around $23,000 as of the time of this writing, though look for used models to show up by the time this article reaches your screen. It is available in seven different colors with gray vinyl interior trim. Color choices include Metallic Blue, Brilliant Silver, Glacier White, Lava Red, Metallic Blue, Super Black, and Knight Armor.

2WD XTerra Automatic S

  • The Automatic S gets a feature set and theme more at home under city lights than on mountain trails. To reflect the X-Terra's rugged character, S models are fitted with extra street-friendly performance equipment. Exterior finish options include the same exterior and interior choices as the X model.

4WD XTerra Automatic X

  • Before destintination charges, the 2013 X-Terra 4WD starts at about $25,000. The color choices are exactly the same inside and out, though trim can be optioned up further to match the car's more trail-friendly build construction. Such equipment is not just for show. The X-Terra is Nissan's most naturally capable off-road vehicle and rivals Japan's other top entries such as the Toyota FJ Cruiser.

4WD XTerra Manual S

  • Those who seek to modify their XTerras for real-world climbing duty would do well to consider the manual transmission option, which adds just under $1,000 to the cost before destination. All 4WD models except for the PRO4-X come with cloth seating surfaces, though some customization options add touches of luxury and sport, both functionally and visually.

XTerra Pro-4X Manual

  • The ultimate in functional X-Terra stock performance comes in the form of the PRO-4X model, which does not need the aftermarket to be ready for light off-roading duty. With independently controlled torque distribution front and rear and side to side plus a locking differential with a low-range crawl mode, the PRO-4X is ready for some suspension work and the Rubicon Trail.

Like all other models, the PRO-4X comes with Nissan's dual-overhead-cam, 4.0-liter V- engine. Color choices the same in this iteration, reflecting Nissan's desire to not visually differeniate its top trim levels too far for that "sleeper" look.

However, interior choices like the PRO-4X front, rear, and cargo slipmat package allow the buyer to add extra interior visual flair and functionality, along with swatches of color to an otherwise rather monochrome interior.

New Colors for 2014

  • 2014 brings the same exterior finishes, though Xterra interior colors in both stock trim and optional equipment have been updated to go along with advances in infotainment and rugged technology on the lightly refreshed model.
