• Civic Hybrid - First introduced for the 2003 model year, the Civic Hybrid was the first hybrid sedan offered by Honda. It underwent a complete redesign in 2006 and has seen only slight changes since. Using similar technology to that of the Insight, the EPA estimates the Civic Hybrid will attain mileage of 40/city and 45/highway. At a base price of $23,800, it offers a few more standard features than the Insight, but costs a bit more, too.

In addition to the Insight and Civic Hybrid, Honda also offers 2 cars they call "alternative fuel vehicles." The FCX Clarity is a hydrogen-powered car that produces zero emissions. Unfortunately, it is only available through a very limited, expensive lease program that was primarily made available to Southern California residents. The other vehicle, the Civic GX, runs on compressed natural gas.
