Tracy Morgan Settles Lawsuit With Walmart

Walmart has reached a settlement agreement with Tracy Morgan in a lawsuit filed by Morgan after a Walmart truck crashed into his limo on the New Jersey Turnpike and left him with a traumatic brain injury (TBI.)
The settlement was filed in federal court in Newark, New Jersey on May 27, 2015, almost one year after the New Jersey truck accident. The terms of the agreement are confidential. Sadly, Morgan is still suffering the effects of TBI.

Morgan’s fellow comedian and friend, James McNair, was also in a passenger in the limo that was hit by the Walmart truck. McNair died from his injuries. Attorney Daryl Zaslow represented McNair’s children in a wrongful death claim against the retail giant. Their claim was settled out of court in January, and the terms of that agreement are also confidential. “No amount of money can replace what they’ve lost, but what they’ve got will take care of them and allow them to move forward, and their father would be happy for that,” Zaslow said.
