The wiper fluid sprayer on your Toyota Corolla is important to vehicle safety because it helps you to see safely out of your front windshield. Your wiper sprayer transports water and cleaner from your reservoir tank, through a small piece of rubber tubing which run to the front of your Corolla, to the two nozzles mounted on your hood. Over time the tubing can crack or the nozzles can fail. If this happens, the broken parts will have to be replaced.
Open the fuse box located on the left side of your steering wheel, low on the dash. Open it by pulling the cover down. Read the fuse diagram on the inside of the cover. Change out the fuse that runs your wipers to see if this remedies your problem.
Open your hood and locate your washer fluid tank. On your Corolla it's located on the left side of the engine compartment near the firewall. Make sure the washer fluid reservoir tank is not empty.
Trace your fingers along the rubber tubing that runs from your washer reservoir tank to the washer nozzles. Have an assistant squirt the nozzles while you are doing this. Check for leaks as you run your fingers along the tubing. If you find a leak, pull the tubing off with needle-nose pliers and replace it with new tubing. The ends of the tubes merely fit over the plastic nipple on the reservoir tank on one end and the splitter near the nozzles on the other end.
Pull the tubing from the back of the nozzles. The nozzles are mounted into small holes on your Corolla's hood. They connect beneath the hood. Once you have removed the tubing from the back of the nozzle, push out on the nozzle itself until it pops up and out of the hole on the hood. Insert the new nozzles and connect the tubing to them under the hood.
