Instructions for Using KW Block Sealer

K&W Block Seal is used to repair leaks and holes in engine blocks, gaskets and radiators. It is an additive that will adhere to the damaged area and clog the leak. By using a block seal, you can save time and money. A typical can of the block seal will cost around $30, and the wait time for the sealer to work will be much shorter than waiting for a mechanic to get the job done for you.

  • Remove all liquid from the area to be repaired. For example, drain all coolant from a damaged radiator.

  • Add one can of K&W sealer to the damaged car part. Fill any remaining space with water.

  • Drive your car for at least 500 miles with the sealer in place.

  • Drain the K&W sealer from the repaired area.

  • Refill the repaired area with the proper fluid. For example, you can fill a radiator with coolant.
