Read you manual for your car or SUV to find the low pressure port and remove the cap. To start with, it is under the hood.
It is usually located on the larger aluminum tubing between the evaporator and compressor.
Start your engine and run the A/C on Max.
Attach a can of Refigerant with the attached gauge and valve. Shake can well before starting. Press button to engage refigerant into valves. Rotate can between 12 o'clock and 3 o'clock. Frequently release button to check pressure.
For instance if Ambient temp is (work environment temperature) 95 Degrees the gauge should read 45 - 55 psi.
