In the 2000 Ford Taurus sedan, find the inertia fuel shutoff switch in the trunk. The switch is mounted inside the passenger-side fender, behind the trunk liner. On the wagon, the IFS switch is behind the service panel on the passenger side of the rear cargo area. Open the service panel door and find the switch in the upper area of the compartment.
There is a fuse and a relay for the fuel pump in the power distribution box of your Taurus. Find the PDB in the front of the engine compartment, next to the battery. The fuel pump relay fuse is a yellow 20A mini-fuse in slot No. 16. The fuel pump relay itself is in slot No. 30.
