An optional navigation system is available on all Mazda RX-8 models. The navigation system is built into the vehicle's audio system and can double as a DVD player. Even though the vehicle must be in park to engage the DVD player, the navigation system will work while driving. The operation of the DVD player is similar to that of a standard CD player.
Press the top button on the left side of the audio system labeled "Load."
Wait for the screen to go down and the disk slot to be visible.
Load the DVD into the slot with the label side up. Once loaded, the DVD will begin playing automatically if the vehicle is in "Park."
