A SmartAccess key constantly transmits a coded signal to your car. A driver can leave the key in a pocket or handbag, and it will unlock the keyless features of the car by simply being in range of the transmitter.
When the SmartAccess key is in range of the vehicle, all doors can be unlocked at the touch of the handle. Push-button starting eliminates the need to put a key into the ignition.
The SmartAccess system can recognize several different SmartAccess keys, and automatically adjust to personal preferences like seat position and temperature.
The SmartAccess key may experience problems when in close proximity to similar antenna-transmitting devices, like Mobil SpeedPass payment systems.
The SmartAccess system can automatically activate interior and exterior lighting at the driver's point of entry during nighttime hours.
