How to Make the CD Player Work in a Toyota Sienna

Every Toyota Sienna model comes with a CD player, allowing you to listen to your favorite compact disc-based music. If you are new to the Toyota Sienna or just want a few instructions on the stereo system, follow a set of rules to ensure the built-in CD player produces music from your inserted discs.

Things You'll Need

  • Owner's manual
  • Power on the Toyota Sienna.

  • Insert an audio CD into the Toyota Sienna's CD player. Do not insert a data CD or any DVD into the drive, as the player is not able to read the disc. Likewise, you are not able to insert mini CDs, as the player is unable to align the disc with the internal player.

  • Adjust the volume to your liking. Once you insert the CD, the stereo system automatically adjusts to the CD function and begins playing the first track.

  • Eject the CD if the CD does not work. This is due to the disc being dirty. Wipe off the bottom of the CD with a clean cloth to remove any dust, fingerprints and other debris stuck on the disc.

  • Check your Toyota Sienna's owner's manual for the location of the stereo fuse (the box is situated under the steering wheel, but the placement of the fuse varies, depending on the model year you have). If the stereo and clock are not working, it is because the fuse is blown. Access the fuse box, remove the currently damaged fuse and insert the new fuse. This allows power to flow back to the stereo system and ensures your audio CD plays over the speakers.
