An auxiliary cable connection ("AUX" for short) is an input option available on most new car stereo systems. The input allows you the ability to hook up outside audio equipment, such as MP3 players, directly to the stereo. If you own or lease a Honda Accord and the stereo doesn't have an AUX connection, you do have the ability to hook up an AUX input via either the CD or tape deck.
Insert the tape adapter into the tape deck of the Honda Accord. This is shaped like a tape with a cable running out one end of the device. You want the cable sliding out the tape deck after you insert it. If you have a CD player, insert the CD adapter into the disc drive of the Honda Accord. This functions in a similar manner as a tape adapter; the CD adapter is a circular disc with a cable running out the top of it. The cable must be sticking out the front of the CD player.
Plug the cable running out the CD or tape drive into the headphone jack on the MP3 player or other device you want hooked up to the Honda Accord stereo.
Power on the car and the connected MP3 equipment. Select the "CD" or "Tape" option, then press "Play" on the connected equipment. The audio from the MP3 player (or other connected equipment) now begins to play over the Honda Accord sound system.
