How to Play My iPod in the Enclave

The Buick Enclave comes standard with an auxilary audio port. This port allows you to connect external audio devices, such as MP3 players and iPods. While you cannot control the audio track with the radio controls (use the iPod's control panel), you can easily listen to your favorite music. Connecting the iPod, regardless of which model it is, is simple with the Buick Enclave's compatible radio. If you've installed an aftermarket stereo in your Enclave, your vehicle may not have the feature.

Things You'll Need

  • 1/8-inch audio cable (3.5mm)
  • Grab your iPod and your 1/8-inch audio cable. Put your Enclave in "Park." The engine needs to be running, or the Enclave's key needs to be in the "On" position.

  • Find the Enclave's audio port. Look in the lower-right corner of the radio faceplate. You'll see a small hole that is not labeled.

  • Plug either end of the 1/8-inch audio cable into the "Headphone" jack of your iPod. Plug the other end of the cable into the audio port.

  • Push "Aux" on the Enclave's radio. Power the iPod on. Turn the volume all the way up on the iPod. Adjust the volume on the radio using the "Vol" knob.
