How to Change XM to Sirius Satellite Radio in a Toyota

SIRIUS Satellite Radio is available in vehicles from 24 different automobile manufactures as a factory or dealer installed option. Toyota offers SIRIUS as an option in the Land Cruiser and Avalon models, all other Toyota vehicles with satellite radio utilize XM. If your prefer SIRIUS as your satellite radio provider, and currently own a Toyota with XM, there are several options available to change to SIRIUS.

  • Add the "Best of SIRIUS" featuring SIRIUS College Sports, Martha Stewart Living Radio, NASCAR, NFL and Howard Stern channels to your XM subscription.

  • Register for the "Premium Online Service" and install the SIRIUS|XM app on your Smartphone to stream SIRIUS programming, when you have Internet access. The Smartphone can be connected to the Toyota stereo through an auxiliary input, USB adapter, FM transmitter or cassette adapter.

  • Install an SIRIUS Satellite Radio with a vehicle mounting kit. There are thirteen different products from SIRIUS dedicated to in-vehicle use and twelve "Dock & Play" radios that are vehicle ready. Depending on the Toyota stereo, these radios can be directly connected to stereo or integrated through an FM transmitter, auxiliary audio jack or cassette adapter.
