How to Operate My Edge Juice With Attitude

Power programmers, or chips, are a common upgrade for diesel enthusiasts seeking additional horsepower and torque from their vehicles. The Juice with Attitude combination chip and monitor is manufactured by the Edge company and available for Ford, Chevrolet and Dodge diesel pickups. Once it has been installed, the Juice with Attitude affords drivers the opportunity to adjust power levels and simultaneously monitor key factors, such as exhaust gas temperature, via a digital display.

  • Turn the vehicle's key to the "on" position and wait for the Attitude monitor display to illuminate. First-time users will need to accept the "Terms of Use" by pressing the "Enter" button on the side of the monitor to agree. Wait for the divided screen displaying "boost," "EGT," "RPM" and "backdown" to appear.

  • Press the menu button on the side of the Attitude display to change the display options. Select "Display" and choose a setting that provides the information that you would like to monitor. Adjust the back light of the display by pressing "Enter" while looking at the main display screen. Each time enter is pressed, the light will dim or brighten.

  • Press the menu button until the "Setup" screen appears. Use the up and down arrows to highlight "Juice Configuration" and press "Enter." Select each function controlled by the Juice, such as maximum exhaust gas temperature, maximum boost and shifting. Use the up and down arrows to set the maximum limits for each function and press "Enter" after each entry. Choose the settings based on the ability of your vehicle to handle additional horsepower and torque.

  • Adjust the Juice power levels by pressing the up and down arrows on the side of the Attitude display monitor at any time while the main parameter viewing screen is displayed. The current Juice power level will be displayed in a small, dark-colored digital square in the upper right-hand corner of the Attitude's screen.
