My Chevy HHR Sky Remote Won't Work

The HHR is among the many Chevrolet vehicles that are equipped with keyless entry capabilities. This vehicle can be synced to the Chevy Sky remote, which will allow you to control a number of the car's convenience and safety features, including the door locks, panic alarm and trunk release. However, if the remote stops working, there are steps you can take to get it working again.

  • Enter your car with your ignition key and remote, and then close the car doors behind you.

  • Insert your key into the ignition, and then press and hold the "Unlock" tab on the driver's side door.

  • Cycle the key from the "Off" position to the "On" position two times in quick succession.

  • Wait for the locks to cycle after the second turn of the key and release the tab on the driver's side door.

  • Press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on your remote. Hold them until the locks cycle again and the programming is finished. You can then remove your key from the ignition and use your newly synced remote.
