How to Program a 2003 Buick Key Fob

Buick vehicles have been equipped with keyless entry technologies since the mid-1990s. The cars feature remote transmitters installed within the system and these transmitters are programmed to different handheld remotes. You can synchronize your own remote to your 2003 Buick in just seconds and have the door locks, trunk release and panic alarm ready to use at the push of a button.

Things You'll Need

  • Key fob
  • Enter your car, sit in the driver's seat, make sure all of the vehicle's doors are closed and turn the key to the "On" position.

  • Turn the ignition back to the "Off" position, remove the key from the ignition and press and hold the "Unlock" tab on the driver's-side door.

  • Insert and remove the key from the ignition three times. Release the door lock switch after the third time.

  • Wait for the car to emit three beeping sounds then press and hold the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on your remote.

  • Hold the buttons for up to 15 seconds until the vehicle beeps two more times. Remove the key from the ignition to finish the procedure.
