The Ford Freestyle is among many Ford vehicles that features keyless entry remote capabilities. With the Freestyle, you can program your remote to your transmitter system in just seconds. Once programmed, your remote can open your vehicle's door locks, activate your trunk release and sound your panic alarm. This programming sequence can be done with no professional equipment of experience.
Enter your car and close all but the driver's-side door. Unlock the door with the driver's door tab and insert your key into the ignition.
Turn the ignition from the "Off" position to the "Run" position eight times in 10 seconds. Finish the process with the ignition in the "Run" position after the eighth cycle.
Wait for the locks to click automatically and press and hold any button on your keyless remote.
Hold the button for up to 20 seconds and wait for the locks to click again before releasing.
Turn the ignition to the "Off" position when you are done to end the process.
