Why Does My Window Tint Look So Bubbly & Hazy After the Installation?

Window tinting is a popular way to give your car a new look, but it's a very difficult procedure. Not following the installation procedure exactly could cause the issues with the final product.

Washing

  • Prior to installing window tint you need to wash the window thoroughly. This doesn't mean just a hose and a sham; you must scrub even the smallest speck of dirt off with scrub brushes. Improper cleaning prior to application of the tint could result in haziness.

Drying

  • After washing the window prior to tinting, you must dry it thoroughly. Having any water under the tint will cause it to be bubbly and hazy. Removal of all moisture from the glass is imperative.

Air Bubbles

  • Finally, if you're sure you washed and dried the window appropriately, the only other factor could be an installation error. When you're installing the tint, you must press it on methodically to prevent air bubbles from forming between the tint and the window. If the procedure is not followed exactly this will happen.
