Homemade Windshield Washer Fluid

You are riding down the highway and all of a sudden you notice how dirty the windshield is. When you try to clean it, the realization that there is no fluid hits. As soon as you arrive home, you can have a quick fix to this issue by making your own homemade windshield washer fluid.

Recipe One

  • To make your own windshield wiper fluid, gather a gallon-size empty jug, half of a gallon of distilled water and half a gallon of vinegar.

    Instructions:
Mix the water and vinegar together in the gallon jug. Pour contents into windshield washer fluid tank.

Recipe Two

  • For this recipe, mix 3 cups of a household cleaning product (such as glass cleaner) with a gallon of distilled water.

When the ingredients are mixed, pour them into the windshield washer fluid tank.

Warning

  • The homemade windshield washer fluids do not contain methanol, or any other anti-freeze product. Use these recipes only in summer weather, as they could freeze in the winter, resulting in costly repair bills.
