  • Giant flat-head screwdriver
  • Pliers
  • Wire cutters
  • Notice in the back of the Ford Explorer where the crank normally would fit if you had it with you. You will see a hole that you would slide the crank into.

  • Slide your giant flat-head screwdriver into the hole. Use the pliers to turn the screwdriver counterclockwise and lower the spare tire. If this does not work, move on to the next step.
