Seat Removal in a 2006 Toyota Sienna Van

Toyota has manufactured the Sienna, a family minivan, since 1997. Built on the Camry platform, it is longer and wider than that sedan. The 2006 Sienna minivan seats eight, and the second row of seats is removable.

  • Lower the head rest on one of the second-row seats.

  • Slide the seat into its rearmost position until it locks.

  • Pull the strap or lever on the side of the seat, near the bottom. Tip the entire seat forward so that the bottom of the seat faces the rear of the van.

  • Pass the strap on the bottom of the seat through the assist grip on the side of the van's interior.

  • Pull on the strap and hold the tension on it. While you do this, tip the seat back toward its original position, disengaging it from its hooks.
