How to Remove the Grill on a Toyota Pickup

Toyota owners love their trucks and love even more to keep them running as long as possible. Toyota truck owners commonly repair or replace the front grill of their vehicle to keep it in good condition. It is important to know how to remove the grill without damaging it or the parts that connect to it so the truck can be properly maintained.

Things You'll Need

  • Phillips screwdriver
  • Gloves
  • Open the hood of the truck. This will allow for easier access to the back side of the grill.

  • Remove the turn signals and parking lamps of the truck using a Phillips-head screwdriver. The screws can be located on the front of the signals and lamps. Place the signals, lamps and screws on the ground next to the front tires.

  • Remove the screws holding the grill in place. These can be found on all four edges of the grill on the side facing the truck's engine. Place the screws on the ground next to the turn signals, parking lamps and other screws.

  • Unlatch any clips holding the grill in place. Your model of truck may or may not have these clips. The clips are normally located along the top of the grill.

  • Pull the grill out from the body of the truck and set it aside in an area where it will not be damaged.
