The Suzuki Intruder is a popular V-twin cruiser that has been in production since 1987. It has a characteristic muscular, chopper-like appearance and is known for having the longest wheelbase in motorcycling (66.9 inches). The seat is only 27.6 inches off the ground, but at a generous 16 inches wide, it is built for comfort. Removing the seat is a straightforward maintenance task you can perform quickly and easily.
Secure the motorcycle on its stand.
Unlock the tool pouch storage compartment behind the rear back seat cushion and remove the tools. Lift the spacer and locate the Phillips head screw below that secures the rear seat to the frame. Remove the screw with a Phillips head screwdriver, and then lift the rear seat up and off of the motorcycle.
Remove the two Phillips head screws that secure the front seat to the frame. Lift the back of the seat up, and then pull it back and off of the motorcycle.
