How to Clean Water Stains on Ford Seats

Sometimes rain can come on without warning, and if you happened to leave the windows down in your vehicle, you may be in for an unpleasant surprise. Of all things, one wouldn't expect water to leave a stain. Ford owners know that their vehicles can endure an awful lot, but sometimes it's the little things that can create big issues. Though unsightly, water stains on your seats aren't impossible to remove. A little know-how and a couple of minutes and your seats will look good as new -- or at least as good as they did before you left the window down.

Things You'll Need

  • Clean, damp cloth
  • Paper towels
  • Hair dryer
  • Dampen the area with a clean damp cloth by scrubbing gently.

  • Fold two to three paper towels in half and place them directly on the dampened area.

  • Place something heavy on either side of the paper towels to help weight them down such as a phonebook.

  • Use a hair dryer on a low setting to dry the area by moving it around over the paper towels. Keep the hair dryer about an inch above the area. As the area dries, the moisture will transfer to the paper towels. You may need to replace the paper towels as they become damp. Keep doing this until the stain is gone.
