How to Remove Window Tint Easily

The easiest way to remove window tint from your vehicle windows.

Things You'll Need

  • Single edge razor blades
  • Paper Towels
  • Goo Gone Extreme Aerosol
  • Window cleaner
  • Roll the vehicles window about a third of the way down just enough were you can see the edge of the tint and the window.

  • Take one of the single edge razor blades and slide it behind the tint, and begin to peal it off towards you. Once you have a big enough piece of tint to work with you can pull off the rest by hand. If a piece is left behind just follow the process again with the razor blades.
(When pealing the tint you will have to move your window up to remove the rest from the bottom of the window).

  • Once all the tint is removed you will see all the residual glue left behind. Take the Goo-Gone and spray it right on to the window where ever you can see glue present. Using the rest of the razors begin to scrape away the glue that has been sprayed with the Goo-Gone gone. Repeat the process until all the glue is removed.

  • After all the glue has been removed give the window a good spray down with window cleaner and this should remove any streak marks left behind. If you still have some small spot of glue repeat with spraying the Goo-Gone and scrape away with the razor blade.

  • Repeat for all other windows that you want to remove tint from.
