How to Replace the Rear Signal Lights in a Chrysler Town & Country

Keeping your Chrysler Town & Country's rear signal lights in working order is extremely important. If one ever burns out or breaks, you can install a new one in just a few minutes. Please note, these instructions don't apply to Town & Country models made before 2001.

Things You'll Need

  • #3157 replacement bulb (2008 and later models)
  • #3057 replacement bulb (2001-2007 models)
  • Screwdriver
  • Turn off your van to avoid a shock while working on the taillight. Engage the emergency brake for added safety.

  • Open the liftgate to access the rear storage compartment.

  • Remove the two screws from the inboard side of the taillight housing.

  • Insert a fiber stick or screwdriver between the outboard side of the taillight assembly and the van's body, and then pry the assembly loose.

  • Twist the signal bulb socket counterclockwise to remove it from the light assembly. Pull the bulb out of the socket.

  • Replace the bulb, reinstall the socket and screw the light assembly back into place. Make sure the assembly's secure before closing the liftgate and operating your van.

  • Turn your van back on and test the turn signal to make sure it works.
