If your car's engine runs at an excessively high temperature, you risk damaging not only the engine but everything around it. In order to instantly check the temperature of your engine you can use the Cen-Tech Infrared Thermometer. It reads your vehicle's temperature with just a single click of a tripper.
Turn off your vehicle and pop the hood.
Raise the hood and lock it into position so it doesn't fall down while taking the temperature.
Press the "Power" button on the side of the Cen-Tech Infrared Thermometer, then point the thermometer at the engine block and hold down the trigger. After a moment the temperature of the hardware appears on the LCD screen on the rear of the device. Press the button on the right of the Cen-Tech to change the temperature from Fahrenheit to Celsius and back.
