How to Reset an A4 Odometer

The Audi A4 is a compact sedan known for its luxurious features and German engineering. Over time, however, the Audi's odometer light on the vehicle's dashboard will illuminate, meaning there may be an issue with the Audi A4's engine, as a notification that your vehicle will need to be brought to an Audi mechanic or auto shop to be inspected or serviced. The only way to successfully reset the Audi A4's odometer, without going to an Audi mechanic or auto shop, and without the use of any tools, is by completing a simple procedure.

  • Turn the Audi's ignition off.

  • Push on the Audi's trip odometer reset button, which is found at the vehicle's dashboard, above the steering wheel.

  • Turn the Audi's ignition to "On" while pressing on the trip odometer reset button.

  • Let go of the trip odometer reset button once the Audi's dashboard displays "Service Oil," as an indication that the odometer has been reset.
