Types of Light Bulbs for a Chrysler Sebring

The Chrysler Sebring has several light bulbs that ensure both safety and convenience. Each of the inside bulbs contain a brass or glass wedge base and aluminum base bulbs are not approved for replacement, according to Chrysler. When replacing lights for the Sebring, you should have access to each bulb number prior to ordering the part.

Front Turn Signal

  • The Chrysler Sebring front turn signals, or parking lamps, are located underneath the hood on both sides of the vehicle. The turn signal light works for both signaling turns and functions when the hazard lighting system is activated. The light also functions as a marker due to the reflection the light casts, which alerts other drivers that the vehicle is present in low-light situations. When looking for a replacement front turn signal, you should request part or bulb number 3757A.

License Plate Lamp

  • The Chrysler Sebring's license plate lamp illuminates the plate, which makes the plate number visible at a distance. In most states, the bulb should be in working order as a matter of law. The bulb can be removed by removing the two screws that hold the lens in place. You can replace this bulb by requesting bulb number W5W, which is the same bulb used for the front position lamp.

Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp

  • The Center High-Mounted Stop Lamp signals to other drivers that you are making a stop. The lamp is located in the middle of the rear window and is accessible through the trunk. In order to remove the bulb, you should remove the bulb's housing and connector socket. You can replace the bulb by requesting bulb number W16W (921).

Headlights

  • The Sebring requires two types of headlight bulbs. The Type 1 headlight is a 60 watt bulb that is installed in the outer portion of the assembly. The Type 2 bulb is 51 watts and installs in the inner portion of the assembly. When requesting a new bulbs, the bulb number for Type 1 is HB3A and for Type 2 it is HB4A.

Inside Light Bulbs

  • The Sebring also comes equipped with several bulbs that provide interior convenience. The dome light offers overhead lighting for map reading or other driving related activities. The reading lights, located on both sides of the dome light, provide directional lighting for both the driver and front passenger. The rear personal light provides lighting for passengers in the backseat of the vehicle and the trunk light allows you to see in the trunk in poor lighting.
