Contact your local department of motor vehicles and find out how many characters you are allowed on the license plate. Most states allow up to seven letters, special characters or numbers. Also find out about any restrictions such as profanity and photographs or graphics on the plates.
Using a theme is one idea for your car tag. Think of several themes that represent you: Christian, party, romance, school/college team, your occupation, your family, your favorite saying or comment. If you have a certain cause you are passionate about or political party or affiliation, think of a way to state your cause within the allowed amount of characters. Here are some examples: REPUBLI, DEMOCRA, NATURE1, CHOLIFE, PROCHOI, PROLIFE.
