When your Suzuki XL7 is due for an oil change, the information system alerts you, to ensure that you perform oil changes in a timely manner. If you choose to change the oil at home instead of visiting a service center, you need to reset the service indicator system so that your next oil-change alert appears at the proper time, protecting your engine's vital components.
Sit in the driver's seat of the XL7. Insert the ignition key and turn it to "RUN." Do not start the engine.
Press and release the gas pedal three times within five seconds. Watch for the engine oil light to flash, indicating that the system is reset.
Turn the key to "OFF" and remove it from the ignition.
