Intercomp's recently introduced 2007 Wireless ProScales, Professional Scale and Quik Weigh Scale systems feature a brand-new technology called Percent Weigh(tm). This technology comes standard and is integrated into all SW888, SW888LE, and SW8.8K Wireless ProScales as well as the SW777 and SW8.8K Professional Scale Systems and SW650R1 Quik Weigh Scales.

As you may guess by the name, the new technology has something to do with percentage displays, but would you believe Percent Weigh(tm) now displays readouts to one hundredth of a percent? "There's weight in the car that you would never know where it was if you don't have this scale," says Aaron Van Heel, marketing manager for Intercomp. "And that weight can be upwards of 6 pounds. Percent Weigh(tm) is a real fine-tuning item.

"In addition to finding missing pounds, this new functionality improves overall chassis setup accuracy by displaying all percentages to one hundredth of a percent while showing the weights and percentages on the same screen," continues Van Heel. Weigh screens are viewed on an Intercomp handheld display and can be downloaded to Intercomp's Race Car Management Software for accurate data logging and long-term data management.

Both the SW777 Professional Scale and SW650R1 Quik Weigh allow you to store 100 different setups and feature baseline setup recall, a center of gravity calculation, and selectable display modes. They have 1,500lb/700kg capacity per pad, top out at 6,000-pound capacity for the whole system, and still operate on a simple 9-volt battery. They also feature custom display modes for oval track, road racing, drag/rally, Nextel Cup/Busch, dirt track, and all weights and percentages.

Each system combines Intercomp's ultra-accurate billet scale pads with Intercomp's advanced weighing technology. Just as with all other Intercomp quality scale systems, the superior 6061 T6 aircraft grade billet aluminum scale pads offer greater flatness, certified calibration to 0.1 percent, and a standard two-year warranty.

The SW777 Professional Scale System retails for $1,695, while the SW650R1 Quik Weigh Scale will land on your front porch courtesy of the UPS guy for $1,395.
