Nissan R35 GT-R Dominator Intercooler Kit

Forge Motorsport and Litchfield Imports not long ago introduced a new cooling product into the market for the Nissan R35 GT-R, their Dominator front-mount intercooler kit. The system employs a custom designed core, overall increase in dimensions that takes full advantage of the bumper's front opening, and a few other innovations to keep intake temperatures in check.

The Dominator intercooler is an impressive 165 percent larger than what Nissan designed the car with, and features unique billet heat sinks on the end tanks. The kit also includes mandrel-bent 80mm plumbing in black, air filters, silicon hoses, all clips, bolts, and nuts, together with comprehensive instructions in color. Forge says no cutting of the crash beam or any part of the bumper is required.

Testing was performed with software and hardware tuned vehicles on a dyno and on track. One recent customer testimonial showed a 48 horsepower gain on a 920hp GT-R on the dyno, and with some tweaks to the mapping to allow for the cooler air and better flow an even bigger bump of 65hp. Inlet air temperature reportedly rose only nine degrees above ambient.
