RWB 911
“My Porsche 911 has been sitting in the garage plotting to kill me,” Brain Scotto laughed. He also had a hard time fitting in his car at a height of 6’8". So the 911 was dropped off at the Fatlace Paddock for the rare opportunity to be redesigned by Rauh-Welt Begriff.

Brian’s ’90 Porsche 964 Turbo would be one of the first three in the US built by Nakai-san from RWB himself.

For the honor this entails, the car had to be properly prepped. So TNT Autobody in Sacramento, CA was hired to remove the sunroof. As you might know, the US never received a non-sunroof 964T but to accommodate Brian’s stature, the roof was removed and a non-sunroof lid was put in its place. The 911 was then off to the paint booth where a satin white pearl was introduced.

The original red leather seats will be replaced with custom Recaros that match the interior. And the KW Hydrolic Lift System suspension will allow a 2" lift to avoid tearing off the new RWB bodywork that’s to come.

The Scotto Porsche has since been put back together and presented to Nakai in San Francisco. Over the next few days, they will start drilling and sawing the freshly-painted body panels to add the distinctive RWB fender flares and spoilers (see cover feature, et 11/10).

The 911 is destined to be displayed at SEMA in November, and we’ll have a full feature follow its unveiling. We will bring you more details of this exciting build as they become available. In the meantime, checkout the 11/10 issue or visit www.eurotuner.com for more RWB.
