2010 Ford F150 Buildup - Package Deal

Imagine waking up on Christmas morning to the sound of a rumbling exhaust note coming from the garage and a menacing lifted F-150 staring out from behind the door. Sounds too good to be true, right? Well for one lucky 16-year-old kid from California, it was a Christmas miracle that came true, and we were there to chronicle the buildup. This 2010 Ford was bone stock just three days before our favorite holiday of the year, and before Santa could shimmy down the chimney, the crew from 714 Motorsports and New Century Tire put the moves on this truck.   |   After The gift wrapping began with a six-inch Pro Comp Stage II lift kit, 35-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires and 20-inch KMC Monster wheels. Next, 714 Motorsports installed a Precision billet grille and finally, a Gibson Performance exhaust replaced the stock pipes. Dyno testing revealed that the 5.4L V-8 really liked the new twin-tube after-cat exhaust system and that it was worth over 20 lb-ft of peak torque. Though it took several days and a ton of effort on everyone's part, this truck was improved dramatically just in time to make a kid's dream come true. These bolt-ons parts gave the '10 F-150 a whole new attitude, so if your Ford is in need of better looks and performance, give the companies used in this story a call.   |   Before GIVING THE FORD A RAISE
