The Magnuson Magna Charger MP1900 has four-lobe rotors with a 160-degree twist that allows for less frictional drag, requiring less power to drive the system. The intercooler system creates cooler discharge temperatures for increased power and on a small-block V-8, the MP1900 can deliver up to an additional 130 hp to the wheels. The Magna Charger MP1900 kit includes a MagnaVolt ignition boost box, an intercooler system with heat exchanger, circulation pump, intercooler reservoir, heat exchanger, hoses, and hardware.
The team at PPC Customs in Clovis, California, headed up by owner Richard Ruiz, assisted installer ace Shane McMullen as they bolted on a Magnuson Magna Charger MP1900 to a '08 GMC Denali 6.2L powerplant. The Magnuson Magna Charger Radix Max supercharger and intercooler install was flawless. After the installation the Denali was taken for a fast test drive. The instant torque plants you right back into your seat the power comes on strong and continues to pull all the way through the power curve keeping you pinned in the seat. The instant acceleration and continued power was incredible. The Magna Charger was also very tame while in normal driving mode around town.
