DiamondBack Truck Bedcover Install - Utility Upgrade

If you are using your eight-lug truck for anything more than the beauty queen parade, the bed is an important part of getting things done. For this reason, being able to install a product that makes the pickup bed a secure, easily accessed space that also allows you to use it as a load-bearing surface, would be a great advantage. These reasons and more were why DiamondBack Truck Covers developed its patented tri-folding aluminum-based bedcovers. They are also the reasons we are showing how one of these covers is installed on a fullsize truck!   |   The DiamondBack Truck Covers bedcover system has two pivoting access lids-one in the front and one in the back (shown open) that allow full access to the bed. The cover is sturdy enough that we have strapped lumber, metal tubing, and even four-wheel ATVs to it and had no problems. The Line-X coating is recommended because you don't have to worry about scratching the surface or things slipping off the cover once they are strapped to it. The Install
To show how easy the DiamondBack Truck Cover is to install, we asked a friend and his 10-year-old daughter if they would perform the install using the directions provided with the kit and a few handtools. The entire install took them less than two hours-and that was with us stopping them constantly to shoot photography of their progress. Their comments afterward were that the DiamondBack product is very well engineered, goes on easily, and works like a charm once on the vehicle.
Line-X Coated
The DiamondBack bedcover shown being installed here was ordered with one of DiamondBack's more popular options: it was Line-X coated on the outside surfaces before being assembled. The Line-X spray-on bedliner material not only looks great, it's also extremely durable, creates a grippy surface on the top of the cover that makes it easier to strap things to it, and in this case, matches the Line-X bedliner already on the vehicle. Also, it just looks really cool. After the install, the owner of this truck further personalized his DiamondBack cover by having the chromed hinges powdercoated black-which highlighted the Line-X coating even more.
