2006 Ford Sport Trac front End   |   2006 Ford Sport Trac front End The SEMA Show is the aftermarket industry's largest show on the planet, which showcases the performance aftermarket manufacturers latest products. It is where potential buyers, dealers, and distributors invade the 2-million square-foot Las Vegas Convention Center. This five-day event draws more than 100,000 industry leaders, who travel from more than 100 countries. The inaugural SEMA Show was held in 1967 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, California, where 98 manufactures displayed their latest aftermarket wares. Some 3,000 spectators passed through the turnstiles. 2006 Ford Sport Trac sketch   |   Rendering artist sensation Sean Smith created another masterpiece from his visionary mind. This time, he transformed a Ford Sport Trac into a slammed, big-wheeled canyon runner. Sean was the man in charge of designing Coppertone's exterior and interior components. After years of attending the SEMA Show, as spectators or media, we decided it would be interesting to follow a complete build up of a SEMA vehicle, which was to be displayed at the '07 SEMA Show. CGS Motorsports is one of the leading manufacturers of High Performance Breathing Systems (HPBS) intake and exhaust systems. Once again, CGS is creating another SEMA Show vehicle for Ford, which will be showcased at the Ford booth at the 2007 SEMA Show. They will be customizing a new '08 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, named Coppertone. 2006 Ford Sport Trac rear End Sketch   |   2006 Ford Sport Trac rear End Sketch Casey and Ron Scranton contacted their good friend Sean Smith, who is an honors graduate from the Art Design Center located in Pasadena, California. He has been a designer for Honda Motorcycle Company, and also produces custom renderings for many custom car and truck builders. He is currently designing animated cars for Rock Star Video Games and renderings for hot rod and truck builders. We will be following along as the crew at CGS orchestrates a custom build up of a Ford Sport Trac for the '07 SEMA Show. The first segment will focus on body modifications, aero kit parts, a front grille shell, bumper, valance, side skirt, a rear wrap-around roll pan, bed rail, and tailgate caps. We will also witness the door handles and tailgate handle being shaved, as well as the overall body prep to get Coppertone ready for paint.
