The Shur Trax Traction Aid System - Sure-Footed Traction

the Shur Trax Traction Aid System the Package   |   the Shur Trax Traction Aid System the Package At first glance, while reading this, the description of the product comes across quite silly, but it will surprise you. The Shur Trax traction aid system is the real deal. Conceptualized by Seal Pak Innovations, the Shur Trax is, by simple definition, a water-filled bag that lies on the bed floor of your truck. Constructed of vinyl with an additional 25mil vinyl outer chamber, the Shur Trax provides up to 400 pounds of added traction weight over your rear axle, right where it's needed most. You can still use your bed for hauling, too, as the Shur Trax is rated to hold 500 pounds right on top of it. The bag itself is fit with four brass reinforced grommets to have a place to tie down the bag, preventing load shift, and is just the ticket for easy, safe, and portable traction that still allows you to use your truck for what it was designed for: hauling. With the Shur Trax traction aid system, you can gain additional confidence when you traverse less-than-safe driving terrain. The unit is available for full-size, midsize, and mini-trucks. Once completed we cinched the bag down with some bungee straps and drove off looking for some loose material to drive over to see if we had better traction. There wasn't any near us, unfortunately, as it was still 70 degrees in sunny Southern California during our install, so we rejoiced in the fact that with 400 more pounds of weight in the bed of our Dodge test truck it was a noticeably smoother ride. If you live in inclement areas and utilize such objects as sandbags or concrete blocks for extra weight, then this product is for you. MSRP is $139.95 and Shur Trax's traction aid device is a much safer item to carry around during the winter months, as freezing won't damage it and it won't become a deadly projectile should an accident occur. Check it out for yourself.
