The DashDAQ provides numerous vehicle data including diagnostics, fuel economy, and performance figures, all of which is acquired from the vehicle's OBDII port. Data can be displayed in five different graphical outputs: as analog gauges, digital gauges, slider bars, graphs, or in a dashboard format. In addition to the vehicle data, the DashDAQ will also support GPS navigation and various entertainment functions, including MP3, digital video, and video game playback. Six different display themes are available for the DashDAQ: Classic, Sport, Neon, Tuner, Night, and Metal. Unique display themes can also be created with the DashDAQ Skin editor.
While the DashDAQ unit comes with a windshield pedestal, it can be mounted anywhere that's stable. The DashDAQ will also support aftermarket tuning hardware, including engine management systems from AEM and Haltech.
